    Studio Revolt

Kailua’s newest fitness studio, Revolt Studio, offers this 50-minute mat class focused on strengthening your core and lifting and toning your lower body. The infrared heat, which goes up to 96 degrees, warms the muscles, increasing flexibility and range of motion, and improves circulation, which helps with muscle soreness and recovery.

    $28 per individual class, 146 Hekili St. #101, Kailua, (808) 726-0616, revoltstudiohawaii.com, @revoltstudiohawaii

    Cycle and contrast therapy

    Spinpress Done Waters

Opened last November at the Waialua Sugar Mill Silos, the newest branch of fitness studio The Den offers a 45-minute cycling class that fuses high-energy rhythms with low lights and a full-body cardio experience. You can also sign up for a 45-minute ice free flow session after class, which offers contrast therapy using a 20-person cedar sauna and chilled ice baths at 55°F and 39°F.

    $27 for a one-on-one class or a 45-minute sauna ice freeflow session, 67-106 Kealohanui St., Waialua, thedenhawaii.com, @thedenhawaii

    Flow & Roll

    Union VSSL

Like the newly opened fitness studio VSSL Union, founded by fitness vets Juri Ko and Jason Aquino, this hybrid class consciously combines yoga and jiu jitsu practices. Designed to improve mobility, breath awareness and smooth mat transitions, the class begins with 20 minutes of yoga work to open the body and focus the mind before moving into 25 minutes of open practice and ending with a short meditation. All skill levels are welcome, with or without a gi.

    $30 per individual class, Hale Mahana, 2615 S. King St. Unit 103, Mō’ili’ili, vsslunion.com, @vsslunion

    Full Body Lagree

    Missing Shuuli O’ahu

If you’re already a fan of Pilates, consider trying this 40-minute total body class. Similar to Pilates, lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that focuses on controlled movements and the core, but places more emphasis on strengthening, cardio, and toning. Lagree also uses a Megaformer, which is like a larger, more complex reformer that allows for standing exercises and offers more resistance.

    $38 for a single face-to-face class, multiple locations, lagreeoahufitness.com, @30
