Be inspired by the colorful pieces in this solo exhibition featuring the work of acclaimed Nepalese artist Tsherin Sherpa. The exhibition recontextualizes traditional Himalayan Buddhist art with a contemporary twist, exploring the social issues of the 21st century. Hear Sherpa himself on May 30th at 2pm when he will be giving a free art talk (register for tickets here).

Pearls of memory

Just in time for Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, this new play by local playwright Diane Aoki explores the impact of memory loss, family connection and culture. The deeply personal story mixes heart, humor and authenticity. To dig deeper, join the Kumu Kahua Book Club on June 1st to discuss The girl with the white flag by Tomiko Higa, a book with themes similar to the play.
